In order to enrich the after-class life of international students in our college, to enhance team cohesion and to make them understand native culture further more, the International Education Office of College of Civil Engineering and Architecture organized an activity called “Wenzhou Cultural Trip” on November 15th.All international students in our college, teachers in the Office of International Education and all teachers of international education participated in the activity.
After a long drive, all members arrived at the first station of our trip—Jiangxinyu, which is known as Penglai of Oujiang River. The students enjoyed the beautiful scenery here. Wide mother river, flourish old trees and historical twin towers impressed them a lot.
The second stop of our trip is Wuma Street, a typical street of WenZhou. Walking on this cultural street, we relived the old prosperity. One student in Grade 2019, Clifford, came from Zambia spoke in fluent Chinese,”I love China so much. I love Chinese and Chinese food. ”
Finally we came to Zhongshan Park in Park street. Here we met lots of native travelers. Students tried their best to
communicated with visitors in Chinese, which caused waves of laughter.
Even after the activity, students were still immersed. In just one day, students had a better understanding and knowledge of Wenzhou’s history and culture, Wenzhou’s local customs. They all showed their appreciation to our college for
its excellence.
