Because of the unexpected outbreaking of COVID-19 (also known as Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia) in China, and according to Wenzhou University teaching requirement, College of Civil Engineering and Architecture offers online courses to international students. “Non- stop teaching, Non-stop studying”, we are striving to minimize the impact of the epidemic on teaching work.
College of Civil Engineering and Architecture started online teaching since February 24th. However, during winter vocation, many of international students returned to their countries, our teachers may conquer more difficulties than those teachers for Chinese education, such as, language and changing time zone. After several discussion between the teachers of international office and lecturers of all international courses, based on the characteristic of the classes and the courses, they adapt teaching methods like: live video, record video, sharing teaching resources, sharing reading list or self-study, then require students submit report or homework in time. At the same time, one teaching supervisor of each courses take assessment about teaching quality and to ensure teaching effectiveness.
It has been running for more than two weeks by now, with the joint efforts of teachers and students, online teaching is welcomed and effectively.
